MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Ireland might be an ocean away from the Upper Peninsula but that didn’t stop folks in Marquette from getting into the St Patrick’s day spirit.
The Hiawatha Music Co-op brought 2 professional dancers to the Ore Dock Brewery in Marquette to teach traditional Irish folk dancing. The workshop is just the start of the annual Winter Roots Music festival which will be taking place all weekend around Marquette.
The festival has events going on all weekend, including a showing of 3 films tomorrow starting at 10am in the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
