U.P.-owned Fire Station dispensary is one of the nation’s best workplace

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Milestones have been reached as The Fire Station Dispensary was named the fifth best dispensary to work at in the nation. The awards are based on workplace policy and experience, giving surveys to employees.

Among the other 8 dispensary award winners, The Firestation was the only Michigan-based company.

“It feels incredible and again I couldn’t say more positive things about our staff,” said Logan Stauber, Co-CEO of the Fire Station. “Each and every person was a part of that success and a part of the story it feels incredible just knowing that we were the lone operator, we were the first recreational shop in the Upper Peninsula.”

Even with the hurdles of the industry’s federal status, the team at The Fire Station has now grown to have over 200 employees and 8 stores.

“It’s incredible we offer a very robust benefits package, you know we want people to have essentially a path to move forward with us a career path if you will,” continued Stauber. “So you know you can start at other stores and even an upper-level admin team it’s really its strength in numbers.”
