MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The U.P. community continues to unite with outpouring support for the Weaver family.
Friday, employees at 17 branches of Flagstar Bank throughout the U.P. and northern Wisconsin wore Eskymo orange. They also encouraged people to contribute to a Flagstar Bank account established in the Weaver’s name.
Patricia Sala couldn’t be happier with the branch she managers in Marquette.
“The support has been amazing, and it really demonstrates how the U.P. stands together as a community when tragedy strikes,” she said. “Our Flagstar family is really proud to do its part and join our neighbors in banding together for the Weavers.”
Flagstar has a bank account in the family name for anyone to donate to the Weaver children, Noah, Lukas, and Sophia.
Many other organizations are still helping contribute to the Weaver family:
-First national bank also has an account for the family
-Krist gas stations around the upper peninsula is donating 5 cents from every gallon of regular gas sold today
-T-shirts are going to be sold at the Gwinn varsity basketball game with proceeds going to the Weavers.
Donations to the Weaver bank account can be completed at any of the Flagstar locations. A QR Code is found on the entrance of the 17 branches, making donations possible outside of normal banking hours.
You can still donate to the GoFundMe here.
