MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) — Firefighters put out an early morning fire that broke out in a Marquette storage unit, according to the city fire department.
It was reported at 2120 Sugarloaf Ave. around 4:40 a.m. Saturday.
They arrived to find the storage unit was overcome by flames, which spread to the attic of the building and neighboring storage units, fire department officials said.
Everyone who was in the storage unit at the time of the fire safely escaped, according to the department.
Firefighters got the flames under control in about 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
