Ishpeming, Michigan. (WZMQ) – A ribbon cutting ceremony took place today at the newest cannabis dispensary in Marquette county.
The firestation, which has 7 other locations around the upper peninsula, is bringing recreational cannabis to Ishpeming.
The dispensary is the fire station’s third location in Marquette County. With a store in Negaunee and one in Marquette.
The store will serve strictly recreational customers, which differs from the company’s Negaunee dispensary that sells medicinal products as well.
According to store manager Dustin Howard, the store is staffed by and hopes to serve Ishpeming residents.
The location of the dispensary is the building where Ralph’s Deli used to be. The deli sold the building to the Fire Station, and Ralphs has been closed since may.
Ralphs recently announced they will be reopening at a new location just behind the dispensary.
According to the Greater Ishpeming and Negaunee chamber of commerce, more announcements about the deli relaunch will be made early next year.
