MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Two Marquette County residents are facing drug charges after police found them in possession of meth.
On Saturday, Sept. 17 around 2 a.m., Marquette Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on US-41 near McClellan Ave. for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers learned that the two occupants had unrelated outstanding arrest warrants. Officers then found paraphernalia suspected to be used for meth and over 57 grams of suspected meth. (story continues below)
Shireen Elizabeth-Brondi Glenn, 27, of Marquette, and 26-year-old Allen James Hutchens, of Gwinn, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine. The charges are felonies punishable up to 10 years and/or a $15,000 fine.
Both Hutchens and Glenn were arraigned on Monday, Sept. 19 in the 96th District Court. Hutchens was released on personal recognizance, and a probable cause hearing is set for Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Glenn is currently in the Marquette County Jail. Her bond was set at $5,000 cash, and a probable cause hearing is set for Wednesday, Sept. 28.
