Marquette, Mich. (WZMQ)- Early next month Marquette’s Tourist Park will host Camp Cannabis, the first marijuana consumption event in the upper peninsula.
The Festival will feature a Star Studded lineup of musical performances and those in attendance will be able to purchase and consume cannabis products right at the festival.
With thousands of people in attendance consuming cannabis and alcoholic products. Safety is a first priority for organizers, the Fire Station has contracted a security firm from Wisconsin who is experienced in handling large events and festivals. In addition to the security firm the festival has a medical tent with trained medical professionals ready to treat illness and injuries as well as mental health professionals prepared to help any festival goer experiencing crisis.
The age to enter the festival is 21 years old and attendees will need to show a valid government ID in order to enter.
There will be no outside cannabis or alcohol permitted at the event. All of the cannabis products that will be available for purchase at the festival will go through state regulations and be held to the same standards products in recreational dispensary’s are.
