The City of Negaunee’s fundraising campaign for the Jackson Mine Playground reached its $50,000 goal.
Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) will match the $50,000 once it is certified.
The campaign had May 14 cutoff date but reached its goal less than three weeks after launching on March 23.
Donations are still being accepted for the next 29 days.
MEDC will not be matching further donations.
