MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The U.P. Regional Child Care Coalition (RCCC) has launched a new website to help find resources within your area.
The site, found here, serves as a starting point where families or employers can explore provider listings, as well as find information on how to start or expand an existing childcare business. Scholarship options are also available for CTE students looking into early childhood education.
The page is backed by the Lake Superior Community Partnership, who says it hopes to help expand as many of these options as possible for the region, during a difficult time of expansion.
“The road to opening childcare can be tricky, and that’s why we’re here,” said LSCP Childcare Programs and Grants Coordinator Lysa Stockwell. “We know the tricks and trades of the business and we can help people get the very best care to this very important time of life for children.”
The site also has general information about the RCCC, with opportunities for people and organizations to get involved. Those details and more can be found on upchildcare.org. Questions can also be directed to Lysa at lysa@marquette.org.
