MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – The man arrested in connection with a Marquette County stabbing was arraigned in the 96th District Court on Monday.
On the night of October 2, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post, along with additional assisting law enforcement agencies, responded to a residence in Chocolay Township. It was reported that a 36-year-old man had stabbed another man with a knife during an altercation. It was also reported that he had assaulted a juvenile before the stabbing.
The stabbing victim was hospitalized for serious injuries. The juvenile suffered minor injuries.
The suspect has since been identified as Joshua Grenier. He was arraigned on one count of assault with intent to murder. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash/surety. His next hearing is scheduled for October 15.
