MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Marquette County.
On the night of October 2, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post, along with additional assisting law enforcement agencies, responded to a residence in Chocolay Township. It was reported that a 36-year-old man had stabbed another man with a knife during an altercation. It was also reported that he had assaulted a juvenile before the stabbing.
The stabbing victim sustained serious injuries and was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition. The juvenile suffered minor injuries.
The man was lodged in the Marquette County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
MSP was assisted by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Tribal Police, the Marquette Police Department, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Chocolay Township Police Department, and Marquette County Central Dispatch.
