MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A beloved four-legged friendly tradition returns to Marquette this weekend.
The 21st annual Strut Your Mutt charity walk will kick off this Saturday at 9 a.m. in Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Dogs and their families are invited on the mile-and-a-half walk towards Mccarty’s Cove, before returning for opportunities to enter in raffle drawings and a lineup of competitions.
UPAWS says anyone is welcome to join in on the fun, all in support for the shelter.
“You don’t need a dog, but dogs are most definitely welcome, the more adorable the better,” said UPAWS Fundraising Coordinator, Nicole Swenson. “It’s a great show out of canines in our community. They dye their hair, they dress up, eveyone has a ton of fun.”
Registration is $20 per dog and can be found on-site at the event or online at upaws.org.
