MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Wednesday Night Market had plenty to offer this week, including a little bit of art, and a lot of smiles.
Caricature artist Emma Schramm set up at the market, sketching portraits of kids and families, while market-goers gathered to watch.
Beyond the weekly market, Schramm also takes bookings for weddings, business events, and other special occasions, bringing her art wherever people are celebrating.
“I do caricatures weekly at the art market, I also do bookings for events such as weddings or business events,” says Schramm. “I get a lot of moms who get really happy about seeing their kids being drawn, I’ve had a few tears even, especially at weddings, but it’s really good, I think that’s the best part is just seeing people’s reactions.”
The Wednesday Night Market runs through August from five to eight PM on the 100 block of West Washington Street.
