MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Wednesday Night Market on West Washington Street is becoming more than just a place to shop… It’s becoming a launchpad for local businesses.
Each week the market draws vendors and shoppers alike to downtown Marquette, offering everything from fresh produce to handcrafted goods. Among the vendors is Superior Outdoor – A Big Bay based clothing brand selling hoodies, hats, thermoses, and more… inspired by the U.P. outdoors.
Founder Kyle Pearson says the weekly market has given his brand something the internet can’t always offer – a real, consistent connection with the community. “Just being able to, every week, have a consistent place in Marquette, where I can get my brand out there is fantastic,” says Pearson. “I can get my brand out in person instead of just grinding the online thing… it’s definitely made it a lot easier and it’s gotten really good feedback which has been awesome.
The Wednesday Night Market runs through August from five to eight PM on the 100 block of West Washington Street. Superior Outdoor can also be found online at www.superior-outdoor.com
