MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – If you’re a music lover in marquette – this weekend has something for you.
Thousands of vinyl records, cd’s, cassettes, posters, and more are taking over Blackrocks Brewery this weekend for Geoff and Jon’s pint-sized vinyl record show.
The free, all-ages event, sponsored by the Northern Michigan University Vinyl Record Club, is drawing music fans of all kinds as they flip through crates, hunting for their next favorite find.
Geoff, dubbed the “Vinyl Candyman” and organizer of the event says that he is thrilled to share the refreshing world of music and physical media with a community of music lovers in the U.P. “You know we’re just really, always appreciative of the folks in Marquette, this has been a great opportunity for us to share what we’re passionate about,” says Geoff. “A used record is a really cool entry point into a whole different world, we’re happy to be able to offer that to you all.”
If you missed the event today, the record show will be waiting for you tomorrow at Blackrocks, from Noon to 11:00 P.M. – admission is free.
