11th annual Marquette city-wide Egg Hunt returns March 30

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Easter is April 5, which means the Marquette city-wide egg hunt is right around the corner.

Beginning on Monday, March 30, United Way of Marquette County will hide 12 eggs around the greater Marquette area, with clues posted on the MQT Egg Hunt Facebook page twice a day. If you find an egg, be sure to call the number on the slip the egg is sitting with. Unique local prizes will be awarded with each egg found.

“We’ve got some great sponsors this year to help out,” said United Way Executive Director, Andrew Rickauer. “Anyone who finds one of the city-wide eggs hidden around will get a gift basket that we put together with those businesses.”

The hunt will wrap up with the Children’s egg hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m., where around 7,000 candy-filled eggs will be scattered around Presque Isle. Families are suggested to arrive at least a half hour early to get a parking spot and have a chance to meet with the Easter bunny and local first responders.
