TRENARY, Mich. (WZMQ) – Trenary is known for toast, snow, and toilet toboggans?
Its been 33 years of outhouses cruising at max speed for a traditional Yooper weekend. This year’s 33rd Trenary Outhouse Classic is using the term “art imitates life” in a very real way.
With the celebration of 250 years of being true red white and blue blooded, Trenary is theming this years race around the great American traditions. “Last year we had the outer space theme, because of the punchline ‘it’s a blast’,” said Zacary Besant from the Trenary Outhouse Classic committee.
The preposterous potties will be decked out by locals for the high speed foot race down the main stretch of Trenary. Not only has this tradition been formed for fun and getting the community together, it’s also a local fundraiser for many Trenary projects.
