MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marshfield Clinic in Marquette is again expanding its range of services. They now have faster access to X-rays without leaving the office. The new on-site radiology office opened to patients in October and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday afternoon. Clinic leaders say the setup allows patients to see a provider and get X-ray imaging done right away, often with faster results, allowing physicians to start treatment sooner. Doctors say this eliminates the need for off-site travel, saving time for patients who may already be feeling unwell. The clinic now offers a full range of X-ray services, which are an important tool in diagnosing respiratory issues like pneumonia.
“ You can have that visit with your provider, come down and get an X-Ray in one of our suites within five or ten minutes, and we’ll have a result back in an hour, so you can continue with treatment from there. It’s a really fast turnaround time, really convenient for the patients, they don’t have to travel long distances, and they have a nice choice,” said Dylan Taylor, Michigan Region Operations Director for Marshfield Clinic.
Marshfield can provide select imaging services for patients regardless of which hospital their physician is affiliated with.
