MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – This week marked the end of this year’s Wednesday Night Farmers Markets in downtown Marquette.
Throughout the summer, the market generally saw more artisans than farmers. Many agree that the Wednesday Night Markets are more festive and accessible to those involved, as the DDA closes the entire 100 Block of West Washington, allowing for a smooth flow of foot traffic through each stop.
Rain or shine, vendors say this summer was full of success.
“The market season has been such a joy, so abundant with community, making new friends, visitor from out of town,” said Shaina Levee of Folk & Psyche. “Brian, the market manager, did such a good job setting our market up this year.”
Levee plans to continue with the Saturday markets throughout the rest of the season (scheduled until October 25) and looks forward to hosting an Ayurvedic cooking class with the Marquette Food Co-op. For more information about Folk & Psyche, visit their Facebook.
