MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Monday, a plasma donation center shut down its operations in Marquette.
The BioLife on Hawley Street has announced its permanent closure. A message on the center’s website states that BioLife is appreciative of the community’s commitment to donating plasma and to “helping the many people who depend on medicine developed from plasma.” While donors have the option of switching their home center, the nearest locations are in Lower Michigan and Wisconsin.
WZMQ 19 has reached out to BioLife Plasma Services for comment on the closure and will update this story if we receive a response.
