ALGER COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post is requesting the public’s help in locating a juvenile who is considered voluntarily missing.
Early in the morning hours of June 30, 15-year-old Jayden Whittenburg reportedly snuck out of his foster residence on Pohjala Road in Rock River Township. He is believed to be trying to get to a home on Marquette Street in Ishpeming but has not been located yet.
Jayden is a black male, about 5’09” in height and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and a medium/dark skin complexion. Jayden currently has a medium-length afro style haircut. There is no known clothing description for Jayden.
He may be accompanied by an Irish Wolfhound dog. At this time, there are no known physical dangers to Jayden or risks to the public, and there is no indication of foul play. However, the MSP is working to locate him and verify his wellbeing.
