MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A familiar book store has opened a brick and mortar location in Marquette.
Throughout last fall, Bromley’s Books has been known for their Book Bus, a city bus turned mobile bookstore. On Saturday April 26, their new storefront will hold a day long tea party from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by an after-party with the Book Bus at Blackrocks Brewery from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. All while celebrating Independent Book Store Day.
Owner Chelsea Bromley says she’s glad to offer more to the community. The store will include many books written by indigenous writers, as well as a frequent buyers club, where 10 book purchases will grant a member a free book.
“I think people are enjoying having more independent book stores to go to, and it’s just a great sense of community,” said Bromley. “Just being able to come in and browse and look for books, and have more places to go in Marquette, everyone seems really excited.”
Bromley’s Books’ new location is on 813 North Third Street in Marquette.
