MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – United Way’s 10th annual Easter Egg hunt will begin Saturday morning at 11:00am near Presque Isle’s band shell.
Around 6,000 candy filled eggs have been hidden throughout the park for kids to find, with some of the eggs containing tickets for larger easter basket prizes.
The Easter Bunny and local fire department will be available to take pictures, and snacks and beverages will be on hand. Executive Director of United Way, Andrew Rickauer, recommends people to show up about half an hour early. Each child who shows up will receive a ticket for a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse.
“It’s a mad scramble, kids go crazy for the eggs” said Rickauer. “It goes quick, so get there early, visit with the Easter Bunny and the firetruck, it should be a good time.”
