MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Celebrations for St. Patrick’s day are happening all across Marquette, including a traveling barbershop chorus.
On Monday, ‘Da Upper Yoopers Barbershop Chorus’ made 12 quick visits to restaurants and breweries in the area. The small group started at Rose’s Dugout, taking 10 minute stops to sing three Irish tunes, as well as a quick happy birthday for anyone there, before heading to their next location.
Since 2014, the chorus has been part of the Barbershop Harmony Society. They are always welcoming new members, with a tenor, lead, baritone, and bass position open, as well as non-vocal roles in the chapter.
