Midwest Regional will be held at Illinois-Springfield
| INDIANAPOLIS – For the third straight season, the Northern Michigan men’s basketball team is in the field of 64 for the Division II NCAA Tournament as Northern has earned an automatic bid by winning the GLIAC Tournament Championship. The Wildcats (22-9) will be the No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region and will take on No. 3 and rival Michigan Tech (23-7) on Friday, March 14 at 1 pm et at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Also in the Midwest, Missouri S&T (24-5) will play No. 8 Malone (16-15) at 6 pm et. No. 4 Missouri-St. Louis (19-11) will clash with No. 5 Ferris State (25-8) at 8:30 pm et. And No. 2 Lake Superior State (27-6) meets No. 7 Lincoln, MO (23-8) at 3:30 pm et. Northern Michigan traveled to Indianapolis last season where they fell to Ferris State 81-65 in the first round. |
