NMU’s Dickman earns silver at GLIAC Swim Championships

Wildcats are in third place going into final day

HOLLAND, Mich. – The NMU men’s swim and dive team completed day three from the 2025 GLIAC Championships, with Wyatt Dickman earning a pair of medals.

The Wildcats sit in third place with a total of 422.5 points, trailing Wayne State in second with 495 and Grand Valley in first with 572.

Today featured the 500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, and 800 Freestyle Relay. NMU claimed a pair of podiums on the day.

The ‘Cats got its first podium finish in the 100 Breaststroke, withDickman claiming silver with his time of 53.26. Dickman broke a school record in the prelims before setting a school record again in the finals.

Dickman had a hand in the Wildcats final podium of the day, anchoring the 800 free relay team of Alessandro Rosatelli, Gabriel Fulconi, Daniel Khmara with a time of 6:31.07, shaving eight seconds off its entry time.

The ‘Cats now look ahead to the final day of competition, featuring the 1650 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, and 400 freestyle relay. Prelims start at 10 a.m. with the finals at 5:30 p.m., both of which can be streamed on FloSwimming.
