Marquette Arts and Culture prepares for last Art Week

by Samuel McKnight
February 7, 2025
A A

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette Office of Arts and Culture announced this week that this year’s Art Week will be their last one. 2025 will be the ten year milestone for Marquette Art Week and this year’s theme is “Stories.”

The Marquette Arts and Culture Communications Coordinator Amelia Pruiett said they are moving on from Art Week so they can expand to accommodate Marquette’s growing art scene. “All of the projects and programs and installations that happen during art week we’ve realized the impact of those is well beyond one week of the year,” said Pruiett. “That’s really what all of this is about, it’s making art week every week of the year.”

The brainstorming meetings will be from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center downstairs at Peter White Public Library.
