MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette City Commission approved the community master plan last night at their regularly scheduled meeting. It took over two and a half years to complete as the city involved public input at every point during the process. This master plan will dictate how the city moves forward with development, infrastructure, recreation, housing, and transportation just to name a few of the topics covered by the plan. Commissioner Michael Larson was grateful for the public’s interest.
“Thank you so much to the planning commission and the city staff for really making this a project with a lot of community outreach, and a lot of community input, I move that we adopt the resolution to approve and adopt the community Master Plan,” said Larson.
