MUNISING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Michigan State Police troopers are searching for a man who went missing while kayaking in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
MSP reports 65-year-old John Michael Kueber’s last known location was at Miner’s Castle on Monday, Sept. 23. Police believe Kueber was kayaking in an orange inflatable kayak. He is approximately 6’2″, 180 pounds, and has brown eyes. Kueber has not been heard from since Sunday, Sept. 22.
Kueber is known to frequently kayak Lake Superior around the Munising area, including Au Train Island, Grand Island, Mosquito River Beach, and the general Pictured Rocks shoreline.
