MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – If you enjoy the cars of yesteryear, North Third Street in Marquette will be the place to be on Saturday. Over 100 classic cars are expected to participate in “Cars On Third,” a fundraising DDA event benefitting the Marquette Women’s Center. For those who wish to show off their shiny wheels, no registration is required, just show up on Third Street between Ohio and Washington streets by 10:30am and you’re in the show. All money raised will go to the Marquette Women’s Center. Downtown Development Association Promotions Director Michael Bradford explains more.
“So, basically, from Ohio Street to Park Street, we’ll close it down, and you have well over a hundred vehicles. Many generations you know, lined up free for you to see, free to talk to the owners to learn more about these vehicles, and their history,” Said Bradford.
New this year will be the addition of motorcycles, and remember, the show starts at 11:00am and runs till 3. This event activates the Marquette Social District so local businesses can join the fun.
