ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Included in the price of admission for this week’s U.P. State Fair, attendees can enjoy a unique show with some very special performers.
The K9s in Flight are a group of dogs who can catch Frisbees while doing flips, jump long distances into a pool of water, and do a number of other tricks. K9s in Flight has been featured on television channels like Animal Planet, ESPN, and The Discovery Channel.
All of the dogs in the show were either rescued off the streets, adopted from shelters, or saved from being rehomed. Human performer Autumn Trainor says K9s in Flight takes them from “homeless to high flying.”
“We’re out here promoting that you can adopt a pet and they can still come out and achieve all kinds of things and entertain people,” said Trainor. “You can get good ones from a breeder, but there are so many out there that need a home that are still very viable to lead incredible lives, entertain you, be part of your family, and do amazing things.”
The K9s in Flight perform multiple shows each day of the fair. The show is located between the grandstand and the Ruth Butler Building.
