Wildcats have 12 home games, 14 on the road and two neutral site contests

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Coming off of an impressive 22-10 season in which the Northern Michigan women’s basketball team made the NCAA Tournament and reached the Round of 32, the Wildcats will look to build on that established success heading into 2024-25. The 28-game slate features 12 home games, 14 on the road, and a pair of neutral site contests in Wisconsin Dells.

Northern will start regular season play on November 8-9, as they’ll be in Wisconsin Dells to play Thomas More and Lewis for a pair of neutral site non-conference tilts. Four more non-conference games will follow against Minnesota-based schools. The highly-anticipated first game in Vandament Arena will come on November 15 against Minnesota Crookston, with a clash vs. Bemidji State taking place on the 16th. With an over 1,500 capacity and two state-of-the-art scoreboards, the new home court for the Wildcats is sure to create a thrilling home atmosphere for the ‘Cats.

After the home opener, Northern will make a trip to the Land of 10,000 Lakes on November 23 and 24 for games at Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State.

NMU’s GLIAC play opens at home on December 5 and 7 with Purdue Northwest and Parkside in town. The Wildcats then hit the road for two-non conference games over winter break, contesting Northwood on December 20 and Ashland on December 22.

Coming out of the new year, the ‘Cats are downstate to resume conference play, making stops at Davenport and Grand Valley on January 2 and 4. Northern’s longest homestand of four games will follow, welcoming Michigan Tech on the 9th followed by a look at new GLIAC-foe Roosevelt on the 13th. Wayne State and Saginaw Valley State will also be in town the following weekend, with games on January 16 and 18.

The ‘Cats will then hit the road for games at Ferris State on January 23 and Lake Superior State on the 25th. NMU is home to Grand Valley on January 30th and Davenport on February 1 before another road trip downstate, visiting Saginaw Valley and Wayne State on February 6 and 8.

NMU’s final home games of the regular season are on February 13 and 15, hosting Lake Superior State and Ferris State. The regular season ends with four on the road, starting with Michigan Tech on February 20 and ending with Purdue Northwest on March 1.
