MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Wednesday, First Class Dance Company is settling into its new location after renting since its opening. After opening last year, the dance company has been renting at Marquette’s Center of Dance on Washington Street, until they were offered a space in the same building as Unity Yoga Co-Op on Washinton Street.
The First Class Dance Company went from renting its studio space hourly at Marquette Center of Dance to monthly next to Unity Yoga Co-Op, giving them more control and freedom of the space. The moving process wasn’t very difficult due to the dancers helping decorate shared the studio owner.
“The landlord wants to kinda transition to something more long-term renters so she offered this studio as a monthly renting thing, so ya now it’s our space,” Eden Langlois, First Class Dance Company Owner.
Registration for the fall season is open for recital classes until September 7th, and auditions for the competition team are on August 21st. To register for classes, email firstclassdanceco@gmail.com, or for more information, go to the First Class Dance Company Facebook page.
