MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Exchange Club is holding its annual “Freedom Festival” Wednesday and Thursday at Lower Harbor Park, formerly the International Food Fest.
The festival is over 40 years old and features a variety of cuisine and live music.
Each year, The Exchange Club raises around $30,000 with the festival, which goes to benefit over 50 charities in Marquette County.
“This is what this community is made of,” said Marquette County Exchange Club President Geno Angeli. “I always say this is the ‘fabric’ of the community. All this stuff that, when you want to look to come to Marquette permanently or move here, this is what you look at and see what does Marquette have.”
The Freedom Festival is from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and is free to attend.
