Michigan’s primary election day is Tuesday, August 6. This election cycle, there are six candidates vying for the 109th State House District seat. To help voters make a decision, the League of Women Voters – Marquette County is hosting a candidate forum on Friday, June 28.
All six candidates were invited to attend, including incumbent State Rep. Jenn Hill, Randy Girard, and Margaret Brumm on the democratic ticket, and Burt Mason, Melody Wagner, and Karl Bohnak on the republican ticket.
The forum will be held at the Marquette Township Community Center, located at 1000 Commerce Dr., from 6 p.m. to about 8 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The League of Women Voters will also carry a livestream of the forum for those who are unable to attend the forum in person. Those who attend will also have a chance to speak directly with the candidate when the forum concludes.
The audience will have a chance to submit questions during the forum or beforehand by emailing lwvmqtco@gmail.com.
