MARQUETTE, Mich (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Fair added the Fun Run last year and has brought it back for a second year.
The Fun Run is Saturday, August 10, and tickets cost $20 and get you free entry into the fair for that day and a free t-shirt.
Last year the fun run was a 5k but that is not the case this year. Instead, this is a fun run, not a trainer or qualifier, just for people to enjoy the fair. Plus all sales made go back into funding for the next year’s county fair.
“It’s just a fun run, so it’s not meant to be a trainer or something you’ll use for a qualifier, this is, just come out, enjoy the fair, run walk, or crawl with some friends, and enjoy some fair food afterward,” said Chris Durley, Race Coordinator and Board Member.
The fair offers over 15 inflatable bouncy houses and obstacle courses, carnival games, cooking competitions, and live music.
