MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – On June 28th the Marquette branch of the League of Women Voters will hold and open forum for with all six state representative candidates for the 109th district.
Questions will be taken from the voters in the district and those in attendance and will cover topics important to the district like alternative energy and gun safety.
Event Coordinator Jo Foley said the league hopes the forum will help voters and candidates communicate directly.
“These are not debates,” said Foley. “There is no cross talk, there’s no name calling, there’s no personal comments. It’s not a campaign rally, so it’s more direct answers.”
The forum will be at the Marquette Township Community Hall on Commerce Drive.
The doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m. with the forum beginning at 6 p.m.
