MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – The Marquette Area Zonta Club is getting ready to hold its third annual Honor a Woman event.
Nominations are open now until May 3, and the event will honor up to 20 women nominees from the Marquette area.
Zonta Club Board Member Holly Michelin said Honor a Woman is a great way to give recognition to a woman who might not get it otherwise.
“This is a really important event to give recognition to people who are making a difference in our lives,” said Michelin. “Women are often working behind the scenes or like to keep kind of lowkey and don’t want a lot of glory and to shine the spotlight on themselves, and this is a really opportune time to give recognition to those that are making a difference for us.”
