MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Organizations from across the UP are addressing employment issues that could impact northern communities.
UP Michigan Works! hosted the OneUP Collaborative on Northern Michigan University’s campus Monday. It’s an event designed to bring together workforce and industry leaders to discuss lasting changes to the workforce and economy.
At the Northern Center, attendees broke into various sessions, discussing collaborative ways to bring organizations, like Eagle Mine or non-profits like the Lake Superior Community Partnership, into the classroom to give students employment opportunities.
