MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – The Marquette Farmers Market Administrative Assistant Brian Shier is stepping into the manager role, just in time for the market’s return in May.
The former manager of the Farmers Market just moved to a new position at Partridge Creek Farm.
Shier said he’s excited to continue working with the Farmer’s Market in his new position and launch some new programs.
“Getting to be at the market every day is like one of my favorite things so that won’t change too much,” said Shier, “but now I’ll be in a position where I’m working more with the vendors so that’ll be fun. Launching the new programs that we have coming; we have our power of produce program coming back this year.”
Shier says they are still looking for vendors and musicians for the upcoming season and encourages anyone interested to apply online.
