DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Delta County Sheriff’s Department is urging caution after several people fell through the ice on Little Bay De Noc.
On Sunday morning, the Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of people going through the ice in various locations on Little Bay De Noc. According to the Ford River Volunteer Fire Department, the two instances occurred in the Gladstone area.
The Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post, “With the recent warm temperatures the ice has deteriorated to unsafe conditions.”
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office recommends that the public stay off of the ice.
“When people go through, it puts themselves at risk, as well as the first responders who go out to rescue them,” the Facebook post continued.
