ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A New Year’s Eve party in Escanaba is providing a fun, safe way for teens to celebrate.
Club 906 is a teen-exclusive club that has seen success in Dickinson County.
“We have decided to bring Club 906 to Escanaba for the first time,” said Justin Wyckoff, owner of Amp’D UP Entertainment, one of the event’s hosts. “Ever After Decorating and myself teamed up, and Radio Results Network jumped on board to help us with marketing. It’s been a little bit of a path, but here we are.”
At the Club 906 New Year’s Eve party and dance, teens ages 14 – 17 can enjoy a junk food snack bar and unlimited soft drinks, video game and virtual reality stations, lifesize Jenga, a photo booth, music provided by a DJ, and more.
“Not only New Year’s Eve but in general in this area, it’s a very common theme—there’s absolutely nothing productive, fun, and safe for kids to go and do in one place that has multiple options,” Wyckoff said. “We wanted to bring that to them and give them that opportunity. We’re hoping that this is the first of many events.”
Parents are welcome to tour the venue when dropping their teens off at Club 906, and security will be onsite. As an added safety measure, Escanaba Public Safety will stop by throughout the evening.
The Club 906 New Year’s Eve party will take place at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The cost to attend is $20 at the door.
