ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Escanaba hospital has been recognized for excellence as a rural healthcare provider.
OSF St. Francis Hospital and Medical Care Group received a four-star rating from the National Rural Rating System (NRRS). The ratings are determined by analyzing care quality, hospital performance, and patient satisfaction data.
President Kelly Jefferson says OSF is honored by the patient feedback that helped secure its four-star rating.
“It’s very rewarding to know the excellent care that we strive to provide each and every day, that it is received that way by our patients,” she said. “That motivates us to continue to want to do better and better things for our community.”
In November, OSF was also named one of Newsweek‘s Best-In-State Hospitals 2024. Out of the 600 hospitals recognized, O-S-F- was one of only eleven in Michigan to receive the honor and the only one in the Upper Peninsula.
As a new year approaches, Jefferson says OSF is as dedicated as ever to delivering the same patient experience the hospital has been recognized for.
“We look forward to continuing to provide excellent service and high-quality care for individuals in Delta County and beyond,” she said.
