MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette children received free eye exams Thursday evening thanks to a local organization.
The Lions Club performed free eye exams at the UP Children’s Museum. The exams are part of the Lions’ Kidsight USA initiative.
The program is designed to identify treatable and preventable vision loss in children.
The Lions travel across the Upper Peninsula to provide the exams at schools, day cares, and children gatherings.
“Our club, including all clubs, do have financial assistance available, so we encourage people to call us if they need, and that is at any age,” said Mary Rule, the previous president of the Marquette Lions Club and Committee Chair for the Kidsight Project.
