REPUBLIC, Mich. (WZMQ) – The clock was turned back in time Saturday during Republics “Retro Days” festival.
The one day event brought food vendors, artisans, and even a main street parade through the town. Attendees were able to participate in bounce houses, virtual reality games, and a cornhole tournament. One of the highlights of the day was a history display, featuring photos of the town from the past.
Rainy weather kept temperatures around 60 degrees but even with the cold, the event still had plenty of participation.
“I think it’s real important it brings people in from other areas, plus it’s also a good way for everyone in the town, were very spread out, it’s actually geographically a large town, it’s a good chance for everyone to come into town, hang out and catch up,” remarked Leslie Hurst who helped to organize “Retro Days.”
The festival started at 9 a.m and had bands performing until Midnight.
