MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The 4th of July fireworks will go off Monday evening down at the Lower Harbor, accompanied by a laser show as well to tie all the independence day holidays together.
The first firework will launch off around 10:40 PM on the west side of the ore dock. Marquette’s 4th of July Fireworks committee has been dedicated to this independence day celebration and commented that this show was one for the books.
“Everything from donating 50 cents to spending 8 hours under the sun putting wires together. Then right at 10:40 that first boom is gonna skyrocket into the air and light up the Marquette lower harbor, and I think it’s gonna be like nothing we’ve ever seen before in this town,” said Marquette 4th of July Fireworks Committee Chris Durley.
On Tuesday, the 4th of July, the committee will be hosting another dedicated laser show, after dusk at the lower harbor.
