ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Escanaba’s Ludington Park is now filled with music at the beginning of every week.
Music Mondays kicked off at the Karas Band Shell on June 12. The Jam Band was the first of eight local artists to perform at the free concert series.
In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy different food vendors each week, take pictures in a photo booth bus, and enter a raffle.
Music Mondays is put on by the Bonifas Arts Center each year. Event coordinator Heather Grimes says the center’s goal is to unite Escanaba residents through their love of the arts.
“Having this event every Monday throughout the summer brings our community together and gives us a sense of belonging,” said Grimes. “It helps support the arts for the Bonifas Arts Center, as well as our local artists and musicians.”
Performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. For the full schedule of Music Mondays performances and vendors, click here.
This year’s presenting sponsor is Michigan Broadband.
