MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette Maritime Museum is open for the season. To kick off its spring events, The Museums first Haunted Lighthouse Tour will start off this Friday, May 19th.
The Museum hosts The Haunted Tours once a month for $25 per person, reservations are needed to participate, and spots are limited. The Museum will also be hosting special private paranormal investigation tours this summer.
With the help of a paranormal investigator, the popular walking tours take guests through lighthouse point for a paranormal investigation. The tour introduces you to the different ghosts residing at lighthouse point, and gives guest a chance to interact with the spirits of the lighthouse. Museum Director Hillary Billman says registration is filling up quickly for this weekends tour.
“It’s different every tour, so who knows what’s going to happen.” Billman says, “Some nights are more active than others. But it really is interesting, no matter what you believe it’s very interesting to experience.”
The summer schedule of paranormal tours will be announced on The Museums Facebook page as well as on its website in the upcoming weeks, WZMQ will update this story as tour dates are announced. To reserve your spot, or to schedule a private investigation call (906) 226-2006 or email mqtmaritimemanager@gmail.com.
