MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Sunday 21-year-old Carson Needham, an NMU student, was killed in a head-on collision in Lower Michigan.
Needham was an active member of the NMU marching band and a communications major at the school. For the past year, Needham has worked at Third Coast Pizzeria in Marquette.
The Pizzeria will be holding a Memorial Benefit to help Needham’s family with funeral expenses.
On Friday (2/24) 20% of sales at the restaurant from 11 a.m to 10 p.m will be donated and directed to the Needham family.
A GoFundMe account has been set up that will help to establish a scholarship in Needham’s memory.
