Small Craft Advisories have been issued for much of the Lake Superior coastline in effect until late tonight. High pressure builds in overnight, with calmer winds expected and some inland locations dipping into the 40s by tomorrow morning. An isolated storm may be possible tomorrow afternoon, but a greater threat will arrive for the evening and overnight hours. Strong southerly flow will set up tomorrow night across the region, with some locations gusting up to 50 MPH. I would not be surprised if wind advisories are needed for some locations, with the most severe winds expected at higher elevations. The shower and storm threat will continue into Wednesday, but clearing is expected for Thursday morning. There is a minimal severe threat associated with the storms tomorrow night and Wednesday, but a few storms may produce damaging wind gusts and small hail. Make sure your outdoor items are secured heading into tomorrow night!
